Amazed and impressed by all the great hats i've seen over the last days! Crazy busy at work, so no time to comment on all the individual hats, unfortunately.

Bloody child today with absolutely shocking wind chill.

Lotta fine looking lids this Wednesday afternoon. Had to jump into a couple of more hat projects. Two of my Resistol Stagecoach conversions were too snug for me. I did other hats on the same block and they came out perfect but for some reason two of my Stagecoaches were still too snug. So, I had to take them up on a size larger block. Could be that these were 71/8 before I sized them up and the others were actual 7 1/4. I don't know why I got different results on the same block. Anyway, these Stagecoaches are pretty thick felted and stiff and can be stubborn to work with. I got it resized and put back together. It sports a generous straight sided 6 inch open crown, creased 4 3/4 at the pinch with a rake sloping to 4 inches in the back. It also has a 2 3/4 snap brim and a 3/8 thin ribbon I took from an old OR....I'll have more in the Conversion Corral

Thanks, Matt. Yeah, I love a deep diamond, but have come to appreciate variety. Back to the diamond today (after all, I am a baseball fan).

Great Twenty, by the way. I only have one Cavanagh edge hat, and never wear it.

Thanks Jim.

You can always wear the center dent to celebrate the center field position.

Why don't you wear your felted edge hat? Too stingy?

My first vintage was a Disney I found in a trip to Ft. Worth. It's dimensions are a little smaller than my tastes now, but it's a fine hat. I think the brim is 2 1/4". That's a little short, but not too short. It's buried in a box somewhere. I'll dig it out.

Groovy. I look forward to it making an appearance.

Disney is a brand I've always been curious about. I've never handled an example and have always wanted to. I keep my eyes peeled for them.

Interesting history... lots of financial struggles with ownership and production of the brand bouncing all over the place. Nice write-up here from Mr. Bowers: http://www.thehattedprofessor.com/disney.html
