Today I wore my gray cotton Redhead Safari. Not a vintage hat but it’s one of my favorites in my small collection.

O'Farrell OR clone this morning.
I do like that O'Farrell Bob

Two great brown Resistols today, we're in luck

Thanks for all of the "be well!" wishes yesterday. Whatever I got... it ain't flu. I still feel crummy, but it could be exponentially crummier.

And we have some snow. It's not the sticking kind. But any of what Jim calls the White Death is better than none at all.

Pilgrim.
Relying on its Cushion Comfort and the snow to make me feel betterer.

Happy Tuesday.

Vintage Sovereign Twenty
Really soft and the brim would prefer to stay in this gental curl. Originally sold in Wyoming.

Those Sovereigns are some of the nicer pieces out of the late 50/early 60s such as this piece

they were quite nice in a time when most American manufactured hats had already turned to $#!£

Thanks. I’m sure a felt is in my future. I really like the look of the Stetson Stratoliner.

I agree with Anthony @moontheloon response about getting a Premier or better. I bought a Royal Stratoliner last year and sold it after wearing it once. The felt was not much different from a decent wool hat, stitching on the ribbon was awful and it just fit wonky. And with the factory crease the crown is pretty low, make sure you try one on before buying it or the top of your head my be rubbing the inside of the crown.

Are hats ever really a choice? I thought it was just a prioritization. What size do you need? I'll keep my eyes open.
I appreciate that, but 2017 was a BAD year for us so for the foreseeable future I can't even afford to pay attention; hats are on the "no buy" list until we get back on our feet.

Ha ha....both....settled. B
I like the way you think. Maybe one of these days.

Today I wore my gray cotton Redhead Safari. Not a vintage hat but it’s one of my favorites in my small collection.

They don't have to be vintage (or expensive) to be favorites. Besides, it looks good on you!

Long day at work coming home in a mid 50s Cavanagh. Sorry for poor light quality.
Cheers :)
Hat noir.
