Thanks MikeVery nice. Musher like in Alaska? Love the moonstone color.
Great catch. Those elusive nutrias do move quickly. I like the color.

Both!
Thanks steur. It's the only one I've seen. I'm liking it for it's original out and about in the country uses.
Great looking wool felt. Better than some of my fur felts I would say. Make that many of, haha. Looks like a great accompanying outfit too.
Thanks,
Michael
Mike, Michael, John, thank you! The Barbisio should really get some more wear (but there are so many others to wear as well). I do believe Jiffy's tend to sit more still when hunted than game Birds, so they would be much easier to bag...I'd go with the Jiffy. They're easier to find.
It'll do the hat the world of good to be worn after it's been neglected for so long.Hey all!
The Dobbs West again!
Have a great day!

Great colours on that hat, Mike.Beautiful day in the Northwest. Brent OR Clone refurb whip stitch will see the light of day. Great hats worn by all this fine day.

Thanks Bob, that store logo was one of the things that convinced me to bid on it.Congrats on the Nutria! I'd love it for this store logo alone (not that anyone sees it, but I like knowing it's there).
I just finished a redo on this vintage Bradford.
Another beautiful conversion, Terry. I really like the colours on this hat.Lotta great stuff this cold a.m.
I just finished a redo on this vintage Bradford. I didn't like the block shape when I did the first conversion. This second time around I took it apart again and redid it on a different but straight sided block. This second redo came out much better. Not quite the actual Stratoliner that I've always wanted but my version from a hat of the same vintage era is good enough for now. I'll have more pics in the Conversion Corral when the ol' back gets a little better and I can sit longer...
Nice tall crown with a 2 3/4 brim. I put a little more rake on it this time around. 4 3/4 at the pinch with a rake sloping to 4 inches in the back.
The felt is just phenomenal on this hat
Some Johnny Cash. The Sun years. Luther Perkins on the Fender Esquire.

Thank you, Bob. I'm hoping this second round of steroids helps get rid of it.Another great job Terry! Take it easy on that back buddy ... you're going to need it.
Darnit. You're probably not gonna like the neon chartreuse derby I just scored, then.I have to admit that this one is a bit too much for my taste, Matt. Valliant effort though!
I dig it. & sweet pairing with the shirt.Hey all!

Super hat Richard.Stetson Nutria Quality. From the bay a couple of weeks ago. Looked like silver belly from the seller’s pics. Turned out to this pleasant brown after cleaning.
Liner is long lost which is a disappointment

Thank you, buddy. It's still messing with me but I feel like I'm getting better.Beautiful job, Terry (as usual!).
Hope that the back feels better, my friend.
Thanks Richard. Your Nutria Quality today is superb. The only one I've seen in person is my park ranger hat and it is a very stiff felt. How is it in your western? That Borsalino is exceptional Michael
Great old derby Matt. The other, priceless!Temperature dropped 15 degrees in an hour this morning.
This afternoon's 30 something degrees and high northerly winds led me to call on the 1910s Knox derby for a great top down galavant around with my son. One of our stops was on the shores of Back Bay near Knotts Island.
Another stop was an antique store where I found this nifty Italian number. It is a hat, not a lamp shade. Even got pics of the boy trying it on, but promised that I wouldn't post them. He has more self respect than I do.
Have fun.
