You're looking very good in the homburg. Will we be seeing more of it? Or you?

Thank you, Michael. I posted some better pictures (of the hat, not me) in the Borsalino Brotherhood thread.

Celia -- thanks, but the credit goes to Resistol. I bought this as new-old-stock (still in the box) and left it as creased from the factory. It is a South Carolina Highway Patrol hat and I think this model was last used in the late 1960s.

I love what you are bringing to the Lounge! Glad to have you here.

Thank you very much, I am glad to be here. It's great to find so many other people who love hats just as much as I do :)

My Christy's of London order finally came in. I am IMPRESSED with both the quality of the felt and the styling of the hats. I ordered two Homburgs and one Panama hat. The Panama Hat material is thin but the styling is superb.

Note: The Homburgs come with the side rolled up in a cowboy style which I dislike very much. However after folding and tugging they seem to relax enough to give a more rounded look.

Oooooh a brown homburg! Don't come across one of those every day. That is a beautiful colour, and the red lining looks lovely as well. What colour is the other one?

Today I had the honour of being a waiter at my youngest daughter's school christmas dinner.

Indoor lighting results in bad quality pics, sorry.

Marvelous!

I love what you did with the brim and how your daughter's silver works with your grey.
It's just perfect from your head all of the way down to her toes.

Also, thanks for the kudos for my Forty. :)

Hey folks!
Many thanks for the likes and nice words. Always appreciated!:)
Today is a stunningly beautiful day. I rarely use the word gorgeous, but today would merit it.
It's flippin' gorgeous out.
So to take full advantage of a straw day in December, my WWII era Parabuntal that I finished from a hood some time ago and recently redone and with a pug I rescued from a ladies' hat I found in a thrift store last week.

But enough gabbing! I have to enjoy this gorgeous day some more!
You all have a great one too.

Sent from thin air using electricity and other wizardry.
Wow, straw in december, no way we can do that here! It's a bit surreal seeing you in a straw hat and shirt in the sunshine against a bright blue sky with those bare trees behind you. Nice work on the hat again!

Running the last few errands before traveling to California tomorrow. 500 miles, Albany to Clovis to spend Christmas with the nieces (family too...). I'm so done... San Francisco Hatter with a center crease that is growing on me. Kind of a retro look from the early century (in my mind...)

Glad you'll be spending the holidays in my sunshine state!

Nice! Love the brown burg on you, man. I've been eyeballing Christy's for a modern homburg but never pulled the trigger because they don't offer a lot of photos on the website. Glad I have yours as reference now! What is the width of the brim after curl?

Thank you very much Daniele. It's a bit larger than a fascinator but a bit smaller than a propper hat, so I'd say it's a cocktail hat. It's American, from the late 1950s.

Today almost became a miserable boring hat day, but then this black borsalino homburg happened:

It was made for the German market, perhaps the little brother of the one @mayserwegener wore the other day? Here are a couple of quick pictures, if I have time later I will take some better ones for the borsalino thread...
