Lee Black Label

Wow. I've been trying to get caught up on my reading, and man, what a selection of hats that've been displayed here the past few days! My hat is off to all, ladies and gentlemen! :eusa_clap

Today I wore my Lee Black Label, with my new fedora tie. :)

Razzman, Not only is the shape of that Portis beautiful; it looks like that most elusive shade of grey! Very nice.

Dinerman, lightweight with a perforated sweatband? Sounds like a summer felt to me. I love it!

I started the day wearing this...*

But changed my mind and ended up wearing this (you knew a woman would bring a pink hat into this thread, didn't ya?)**

*Hat by Milliner Laura Yates of Santa Barbara. This beret reminds me of the 19th century British Sailor Hats. I think.
**Modern Chinese import, surprisingly 100% polyester, not suede. No makers label.

I was finaly able to wear a felt for the first time in many, many moons.
The rain was coming down, the temp down below 70, both for the first time in over five months, the wind was up & it was the perfect excuse to break this 'un out.

It is a 3x Stetson I picked up from OFAS for less than $13 a few weeks ago, I must admit to wondering where the rest of ya'll were on this one. It is an Open Road ( or Strat, ' ceptin it is 3x) in all but name & the brim measures only 2.5". :cheers1: here's to cooler weather!

Looking back on this thread, I really like this hat Rick.
This was what made me get the FFA pin for my Campdraft.
BUT I wonder what it would look like if you made the front bash a little higher and gave the pinch a little more height.

Agreed. Looks good - I like how the hat is what stands out in a scene of browns and greens.

hat chatter

Ms. imoldfashioned - the ribbon on the stingy seems to be men's tie material, or a nice imitation. I'd love to find my husband a matching tie! And thanks for the nice compliment!

Mr. RBH & Mr. K.D. Lightner - Thank you for the hat education.

Mr. Deanglen, Mr. Indycopy, Mr. Duggap, Mr. Fatwoul, Mr. J.T. Marcus, Mr. Big Man - Thank you for the nice welcome.

Mr. Tango Yankee - that color hat is perfect for you!

Mr. RBH, some days I wonder why I bought that beret. It's very finicky, and my hair has to be done a certain way and the hat tilted a certain way for it to look good. Or, as a close friend said to me today: "Berets don't look good on you". That could be it too.

You see it, you like it, you buy it and wear it. It is yours and make it so by wearing it any way that tickles your fancy. The only secret to wearing any hat is confidence. Be bold, be daring, hats like anything else look bad when YOU think they do and tell your close friend to stuff it as only close friends can do.;)

Love the pink by the way.

My hat for today is a Lee. I think it is a "Fifth Avenue."

Great hat, MKL.

I haven't worn this one since the end of last curling season. The new season starts in a couple of weeks, so I was making sure my equipment and team uniform were still in good shape

As to the pins: I played last year on the Aruba curling club team. It's a half Albany, half Maryland team. It exists to get around quotas some bonspiels have on the number of teams from each club. The Potomac bonspiel pin says first event winner, the Plainfield one says 4th event runner up.

Dinerman,

I like the hat. Is there some kind of tail to it? It looks like it has something near your collar?

Do you have a shot of the backside?

Dinerman,

In the game, did or does the hat have any other use than just keeping the head warm?
