Today, I'm wearing my second nice hat -- it's a Dobbs "Harvey" straw fedora. It just arrived yesterday. I needed something for these hot, Summer days in L.A. It's got a 2½" snap brim and it's a SIZE 8!
The only other hats I have are a gray Stetson Temple and a couple of old cotton "safari" hats. But I think a Fed IV is going to be ordered very soon!
Ah... understood. Would like to see more pictures when you have a chance. It looks great, and living and learning is the way to go... much preferred to the alternative.
The hat is in pretty much pristine condition.
Looking sharp, Mike! Any luck with that boomerang? Mine's hanging up as decor after nearly losing it 3 times.Panama today. Sorry about the photo - I need to get my camera back
To me, it looks as though the brim has been altered. Notice how the stitching is near the middle of the ribbon rather than close to the crown facing edge?
You're correct Eric. Refer to my previous post regarding the alteration of the brim size which I heartily regret now. Other than that, it's in great shape.
That particular boomerang met its demise on a soccer goal post. I have a collection from some fine boom makers and I make my own. I have a garage full. It's been awhile since I've been out throwing them.Looking sharp, Mike! Any luck with that boomerang? Mine's hanging up as decor after nearly losing it 3 times.
