I work three 12 hour graveyard shifts a week, Sunday PM through Wednesday AM (the good news is once that's over, I have the rest of the week to do with as I choose. And hey!- as I type this I just noticed my work week is half over:cool:)

I work in "Computer Operations", which is about impossible to explain to someone who's not done the work.

Going to computer cameras & editing system after years with the
old betamax camcorders and editing was a sheer nightmare.

Especially when the stories had to be ready for the 5 PM live news.

An expert came in for just one week to give us a crash course.
That wasn’t enough time. The newscast was a disaster.
Somehow I managed to learn the language of “computers”.

The fact I was not fired according to my news director
was because I persevered while others gave up.
She also liked that I always came back with good video &
sound bites.

The fact that I had the habit of requiring food daily and a place
to sleep might have had something to do with my motivation! :)

I’m doing a “one on one” interview with Secretary Of Housing,
Henry Cisneros during the Clinton administration.

This was at a Thanksgiving feast for seniors citizens.

I tried to be funny by asking my first question with:
"Mr. Cisneros...do you prefer dark or light meat?”

Soon as I said it, I knew I bombed.:(

He just gave me a blank stare and did not respond! :D

Now I'm a journalist (well, I'm still a lawyer, I just quit practicing) but still not all that well dressed!

Sartorial issues pale beside the greatness of the Law as Holmes would have phrased it.;)
Have read the revised executive order to be heard by the Court, writ within privilege and fully compliant-an interesting test for the Roberts Court.

Recently seperated from the Army, I'm seeking work, but doing it slowly. Taking a much needed break and viewing life from a much newer perspective. I'll probably be going to school once I figure what I wush to pursue. On the hobby side, I work on performance vehicles and take photos

If you work on performance vehicles for fun, you might want to consider mechanical engineering. You can work on performance vehicles and get paid for it. I went to engineering school partly for that reason myself. However, after graduation I went a slightly different route and kept the high-performance cars as a hobby and worked for NASA as a paying career.
MANY other engineering opportunities also exist.

(I'll also say, "Hello neighbor", since you are just down the road at Ft. Campbell.)

There was a splendid restaurant in the Hopkinsville area as I recall, The Stables. Many moons ago.

Airborne!;)
When we go back to TN to visit the wifes family I will have to keep it in mind. Hopkinsville historic area is beautiful, as are the surrounding areas. Definitely miss it

I did a few things in life, even a turn as a cop in San Francisco in the 1970's, but I retired as a financial adviser some years back.

I was making websites and running a youtube channel for a while. Nowadays I work as a system administrator. I stream some old games sometimes, my pc can't run the newer ones though, but my viewers are okay with that. The last thing I was streaming was Garry's Mod, that's the one my audience enjoys the most. Actually, you could get it here https://garrysmodsandbox.com/download and play with me.

For a living?....as little as possible. I may get retired soon due to injury. I will then become a man of leisure.

I'd love to her the prison stories. Must be a lot of them since there are 2,298,300 people incarcerated in the USA, the largest number, by hard figure and by percentage of the population, on earth. The US has 4% of the earth's population, 22% of its prisoners. More than China, Russia, or North Korea.
