ClaraB, your pic ain't showin' up, Blogspot probably doesn't like to do image-hosting and I don't think the boardware like big pics either. Maybe try an upload to Photobucket so the lazy can see it without having to copy/paste the URL from a "quote message"?;) Very nice ensemble, too.

Thanks Diamondback. I think we'll just forget it (I'm one of the lazy), I'll save my post for a better outfit.

Today was a day for pin-stripe suits. This is my son and I standing in front of the building where I work. James has on a black pin-stripe and I have on a navy blue pin-stripe (and my Art Fawcett hat, of course).

As a side note, this is the same building where my grandfather and grandmother worked in 1903. My son also works at the same hospital, but in another building. It was such a beautiful day today that we decided to have a couple pictures made during lunch.

That's a really neat jacket!
Do you see much good surplus in Canada? Since I've been going to the Army/Navy store ( about 25yrs of browsing now - since I was 10 ) I've seen most of the stuff dry up and be replaced by the new nylon web gear or Chinese repros. A little bit of cool Eastern European stuff, and the occasional gold strike, but not much to write home about.

The surplus isn't great, It's all Canadian issue from the past 20 years or so- nice, but not much variety- so I rely mostly on ebay for what I want. The jacket, for instance, was an ebay buy.

Today- barn jacket, cords, brown shoes, borsalino
