The last photos were taken during an endless phonecall to Alitalia to retrieve lost luggage.

You know the old joke, don't you?

Q: Why does the pope always kiss the soil right after he landed?
A: Ever flown Alitalia?

tweed trousers?

With all of you well dressed people to ask I thought I'd pose a question. Does any one know of a resource for relatively inexpensive every day wool or wool tweed trousers? Prior th the advent of the denim-fication of America everyday wool was the norm. It was not a difficult thing to find even wool twill, a practically unheard of fabric nowadays.

WOW this is gorgeous. Do we get to see the entire ensemble, with you wearing this hat?

Vintage Betty

Thank you, Vintage Betty! I didn't take a photograph with the hat on, but considering I have such few outfits, I'm sure I'll be wearing it soon again, and I will take another photo with the hat on.

Patrick Murtha - I love how the photograph you posted is so official looking. That's great. :)

Thanks all. I don't think the fit is QUITE perfect yet though. The sleeves need to be taken out just a smidge. Also, you'll see that my ankles (thankfully not naked a la Thom Browne) are showing a bit, so the trouser hem needs to be taken down about an inch which will still give it that great no break look. I'm probably just being nitpicky though. :p

I don't understand why some people have a problem with unlined trousers or vintage fabrics. These are really comfortable, and I got used to the "scratchiness" of the flannel the first night I wore this. Speaking of the trousers, they only cinch a slight bit when I wear a belt (I'll soon get braces so I can use the buttons inside the waistband) so I may not need to get them taken in. It was listed as 34"... I guess working at a restaurant has added some girth to my waist. lol

I'm wearing some new-to-me Polo gray flannels for the first time today, and I think they're already my favorite trousers.

Suit looks good, Jovan!
