My Trip to New Orleans:

Riding the St Charles Street Car in my cream linen suit and 1950's tie. Love linen suits, even in the Deep South, they feel like light, comfy pajamas...

Enjoying a martini at Antoine's, the oldest family run restaurant in America (175years!). Proud originator of the Baked Alaska and Oysters Rockefeller...

The French Quarter at night...

Today, I wore my unusual looking Peter Barton's Closet shirt, which I got at the thrift store earlier in the week. :)

Great suit Patrick. I have developed a liking for shirts with a subtle pattern like that, totally versatile and not too 'wedding day' crisp.
What's the colour of the pocket square?

Not actually today but Tuesday:

Cap: Stetson (My very first cap ever bought last week)
Jacket: Aero Leather A-1 (My first leather jacket and bought from a fellow lounger)
Jeans: Levi's Vintage Clothing 501(1890) (I got them last week at 50% of the price)
Boots: Kendal & Hyde (Kickstarter Campaign)

I'm really loving the Levi's 501 from 1890 since they're very high waisted, have a lot of room and are meant to be used with suspenders. I'm afraid this is the step towards high waisted wide legged trousers...I just received a pair of used Old Town High Rise Trousers in green corduroy I got on Ebay and I already have 3 pants that need suspenders to be used.

Nice ensemble, and awesome handlebar mustache! I would grow one myself if my genetics weren't inferior in the facial hair department.

Today I wore the most "collectible" vintage in my wardrobe - three piece 1930's sport suit with pleated patch pockets and a belted back in a lovely chocolate gabardine. I'm going crazy for houndstooth lately, as my shirt evidences. Also I love the Golden Era habit of combining brown and gray.

Grey wool pencil skirt (my favorite, with pockets!), Navy cotton sweater with 3/4 length sleeves, cotton undershirt, dark brown cotton stockings, 1940s brown oxfords with a 2" heel. Tiny new leather brown 1940s purse. (I had to pare things down to the bare essentials, dang you huge epi-pen!) Hair is still in pincurls so I had a scarf tied over it most of the day. Girdle, bra, silver hoop earrings, brow pencil, red lipstick doubles for blush. Outdoors I wore a black suit jacket and a silk scarf around my neck. Plenty warm. And yes, I mix brown and black. Such a rebel. ;-)

Not strictly today, but tomorrow. Charcoal grey DB suit, panama hat with red pleated brim, blue-white silk repp tie, silk spearpoint collar shirt, rainbow paisley silk pocket square, brown braided belt, ruby penny loafers. Possibly a cornflower boutonierre if I can be bothered to pick one.

Day off today... braced heavy flannel trousers, shirt (no tie), knitted waistcoat and tweed jacket with suede elbow patches. I need the coat because I hardly ever switch the heating on. If the coat comes off I can replace the waistcoat with a submariner's jumper.

Three-piece grey-brown wool suit with a double blue pinstripe, gingham button down collar shirt, red plaid scottish necktie. Blue cotton pocket square. The suit is possibly of 70's origins, however, besides the lapels it is very classic. I wore my chocolate brown cap-toe oxfords.
