Thanks y'all! It' s a great glenplaid because it manages somehow to be loud and subtle. It's more a navy blue (rather than black) on gray, with a beautiful dull maroon overcheck (that doesn't come out in the photo so well).

Don't know about perfect shape, but I have any holes repaired before they get worse, wear them in a rotation with long rest periods, have them pressed by my tailor with a hand iron when necessary (NEVER machine press, because it fatigues the fabric particularly at the creases), only rarely avail myself of dry cleaning, and store them in plastic when not in season. Maintenance is the key to a good wardrobe, IMHO.
