Beginning to hot up here in Aussieland with the rapid approach of summer. Breaking out the lighter colours for the warmer weather:

Welcome to the Lounge, Jenny!

And :eusa_clap Shangas, this is one of the best outfits I've seen you in so far. I especially like this minty/green color of the waistcoat. Works fabulous with the blue tie!

Hi Henry!

The blue tie is one of my favourites. I think I wear it more frequently than any other tie. I liked this assemblage of colours because they're bright and light and perfect for summer.

The straw boater is a new addition. I'm considering having the ribbon changed to solid royal or navy blue.

EDIT:

Thanks V.C.B! I love winter! You can have summer! Glad you like the outfit.

Lookin' good, Shqangus. Were I nitpicking I would suggest that you use a slightly smaller knot on you tie, like a four in hand.

The knot there is a modified double-windsor. The tie's really too long to do much else with it. If I tied a four-in-hand, it'd be too long. But thanks for the compliment.

I have to agree to A.C.Lyles. Tuck in the small end. Nobody will notice as you are wearing a waiscoat all the time.

The outfit is great with boater and the colors.

Thanks Floey. I had real misgivings about wearing & buying a boater, but I finally found one at the shop that looked good and felt comfortable, so I bought it. I love the colours as well.

Ditto, I think it's very sharp. Shangas, the blue tie is great.

On the other hand, should someone in Orange Co., California be complaining about winter? :D

Thanks Scotus! I agree, someone living in California should not complain about winter!

One thing I didn't show in that photograph was the cufflinks that I was wearing with the shirt. Here they are:

Of all the photos I've posted of myself in this thread, with great trepidation and self-consciousness, I don't think any of them ever received as much notice as that one on the previous page!

Nippy outside today so the old bomber jacket came out.The shirt and pants are modern, but the tie is a 40's silk, and the hat is my chocolate kitten.
