Big Man, is that the hat Art replicated based on your grandfather's from 1928? Always loved that one!

Put this in the Halloween costumes thread too

it's Simplicity 2535 if anyone is curious

Started this one last year and finally finished it for this year. Don't mind the background, my friend just moved and so needless to say the place is a disaster

the glue was still drying so the pins were still in it while on the form

thanks HepKitty!! I LOVE yours- especially great that you mentioned the pattern number here. I'm going to look for it. I wanna make this too- so I'm stealing your idea:) HA! You should see how my place looks after all the sewing- and explosion of fabric, bent pins, cut pattern paper, and thread all over the downstairs!

I met some members of a german vintage forum for a weekend in bavaria. On sunday we went to an excursion on an old train. So this is my outfit for a trip in the country:

RL Chaps beltback sportjacket
Vintage indigo pullover workshirt, maybe 1940s or 1950s (plastic buttons)
Vintage german wool tie, 1940s
Brown woolen trousers,
Redwing Backmans

Mr. Big,
Can you actually ride a train to someplace, from Nebo?

Last weekend as I passed the Nebo/Lake James exit off I-40, I got to wondering how things were going for you and the "Mayflower."

This was Friday evening. It was cold and misting rain. This was the first time this fall that I've had need to wear an overcoat.

I love that jacket. Really nice score. I must keep an eye out for RL on sale - they really do seem to include some very nice vintage details.
