[Two Types]

This was my outfit for work today: Harris Tweed overcoat - very heavy Bedford Cord trousers that I have owned for about 12 years - 1950s British tie - cricket shirt from Darcy clothing - waistcoat from David Saxby:

Interesting. I have one of their cricket shirts but I'd never thought of wearing it with a tie. It works.

The overcoat was dated by another Lounge member to be probably late '80s or early '90s, and I think the Harris Tweed jacket could be late '70s or early '80s. They seem to be good quality tweed coats. I consider the tawny fawn Fed IV to be more of a dress hat than my brown Indiana Jones inspired one (which I may wear on hikes). For a long time, I've been thinking about getting a tan dress hat, and I think I look better in it than the dark brown one. In the first few photos, I'm wearing a Sam Hober grenadine tie (midnight blue) I bought a few months ago, which is my favorite tie. I think a 54 inch length, and a 3 inch width suits me well.

I love the overcoat. Bought one at Marshall Fields Chicago 25 years ago and wore it for years. Still have it though a little worn.

Good stuff, sort of an early sixties vibe to your style.

1930s (I think?) German tie. 1960/1970s Dunn & Co jacket.

With the fur collar overcoat and the facial hair you've got the Italo Balbo thing going on, at least thats the first thing that came to my mind.

today alas i am going boxing so i won't have anything vintage on.. how vintage is a track suit ?

I dont have a problem with a Gentleman wearing the pelt of any animal, the whole thing looks quite dashing, especially with the facial hair, its the icing on the cake
