It is hard to keep an acceptable level with so many great examples!

Today I donned this summer ensemble...

Hat is vintage (Lee Adventure), as are the collar bar and tie. I chose a pretty discreet one, to pair with the already busy enough sports jacket.

Looking tres dapper Torpedo! Today, alas, I look nowhere near as cool.....white shirt and jeans I'm afraid :-(

Hello again!

Thank you for the kind comments.

Today, I donned a vintage summerweight newsboy, topping a decidely summer ensemble. Tie is a rayon example, 30's. Colours are pretty right in the pic: tan trousers, white shirt, off-white jacket, light sand cap. I think the pinkish and greyish tans in the tie go well with the whole.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I went to the park today with some friends. The shots aren't the best, but I suppose they'll suffice. The jacket sleeves look a little shorter than they actually are due to bunching.

And to complete the ensemble:

The shoes are a bit big, but I haven't had time yet to remedy that issue.

G'day mate!

Nice shoos, but l think you need to get rid of them unfortunately. NOTHING can be done to make them fit.

Over time they could effect the way you walk. ln other words...they could end up deforming you because you won't be doing your natural walk. Think about it: 10,000 steps a day everyday for a year is going to change things in the feet, leg, hips and neck, it might be only a small change but it won't be a good change. :(

Sorry for the bad news mate, but don't do it.

Congratulations! Very smart looking, as is your new photo taking the place of that lazer tag or whatever it was. Took me a while to put two and two together, came out with five! Much better look, more befitting a University professor. In my next life I would like to be a History professor, almost my minor, lacked one half semester!

Academia isn't always all it's cracked up to be, but it's much warmer and safer than the real world, I can tell you! My previous avatar was a cut-down from a 30s-style mad scientist look I went for at a steampunk night (I'm really more a dieselpunk, myself). The current one features me in my own clothes, as opposed to costume. ;)

the other day at a car show, I was being lazy with my hair but all in all I was satisfied with how the look turned out.

Nice. Very nice. I never get tired of seeing that beautiful smile. There are so many beautiful ladies on the Fedora Lounge, but I believe your smile is the best.

Going to a 1920's theme party tonight. Plan to wear dress shirt with french cuffs and gold cufflinks. Black waistcoat. Silk ascot, perhaps with stick pin. Not sure yet if I will wear knickers or trousers
