Right now, I Don't Want to Fall in Love by She Wants Revenge

Howver, tonight I'm listening to a bunch of the classical pieces Harp has recently posted about--you've jogged my memory about some lovely music. Thanks!

You are most welcome. :)

:eek:fftopic: Today, I heard a subway troubador sing Moon River.
I recalled your recent Lunar thread, and remembered that I still haven't seen
all of Breakfast at Tiffany's, which, like Becoming Jane is on my list. lol

Rough Rider (Special Beat version).

I'm hoping the copy of Ska'd for Life that I ordered will arrive soon too.

There are a couple of subway singers in Boston I love--when they're good they can be very good, and when they're bad, well...

Still no Becoming Jane? Tsk, tsk. ;) If the Lounge had a Secret Santa I'd know what to get you, wouldn't I?

Chicane's "Far from the Maddening Crowds" as usual has been getting a bit of a thrashing on the stereo here.

Also been playing Jeff Wayne's "World of the Worlds" which I've loved and has spooked me out since first hearing it as a nipper in the late 70s.

Vintage-wise, I've been playing some Paul Whiteman and a 20s collection CD which is very Great Gatsby.

Guh! Heartbreak! Next time email me and I'll send you the $ so I can see them vicariously. ;) I'm SO in love with that band--the lead singer's voice is hypnotic for me.

I discovered Franz Ferdinand just before they broke in the US and found out they'd been at a very small venue in Boston a month before. I think I literally shrieked at that one.

Two new CD sets I just got today from Amazon.

"30 #1 Hits of the '30s" (2 CD set)
and
"Big Band Magic - The Sound of the Fabulous Forties"
48 of the Greatest Hits (2 CD set)

They're totally awesome! All original artist recordings.

I am turning into a little old lady!

Oh...that album really moves me! It would have been even better seeing them live. But, if they do come through again, I'll take your money, and then give you a call on my cell so you can hear them. lol

Y'know...I've never had a chance to listen to Franz Ferdinand. You'd think I would have living in Portland...hm...I guess I should, eh?
