Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Count Bassie, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Desmond Dekker, Otis Redding, Etta James and my absolute favorite of all Billie Holiday.

I don't have TV (Its a personal choice) so I waste my evenings listening to Hi-Fi and reading books :D

I was at Borders Bookstore the other day and walked past a display of modern artists of Jazz style music.
Harry Connick Jr, Michael Buble..then there was Matt Dusk.
I never heard of him, so I am currently checking out some of his music.

Lots of Megadeth..I know, hardly vintage ;)
But I grew up on them, and I went and saw them at the House Of Blues friday night, and they rocked the joint.

and no one knows how long she'll stay...."

Grace Metallious ;)

And leaves are starting their colorful transform, crimson dappled maples
and topaz elms sway before they shiver autumnal cascade.

I know the Aeneid now by heart,
My Virgil read in cold and heat,
In loneliness and hunger smart.
And I know Homer, too, I ween,
As Munster poets know Ossian.
