Ah, right. Actually, I got normal leather low-shoes from CamelActive and these are the first ones, on which I really need my shoehorn, because they are more sporty fitted, kind of slim-fit.

Lizzie you need to pick up a Coleman stove or a little propane stove. I keep one on hand in case the power goes out.

Or just a fondue pot. I have one I picked up at a thrift store for a couple of bucks. In a power outage you can at least heat up some soup or make some oatmeal. You get the fondue fuel at the dollar store for another buck.

Speaking of fondue warmer, my local grocery still sells Sterno. Even the can label is unchanged from my boyhood.

Ah, Sterno. The beverage of choice among the desperate alkies down by the waterfront.

We have a chafing dish thingie at work that runs on Sterno -- these seem to be the primary use for the product nowadays.
