...I know that little furry yellow “barn" cat is going to break my
heart...big time!

We once had a cat that liked to catch snakes and bring them alive into the house. Since then our cats have been indoors only. My sister had a cat that would try to kill anything it encountered outdoors, but would sit passively and watch mice running about indoors. He would try to go after animals bigger than himself, and was beaten up by wild turkeys on several occasions.

My cat is a good provider.
From time to time Polo will leave a dead mouse or bird outside the back kitchen door.

I'm getting good at digging small graves in the back yard! :(

Of all the pets I’ve had over the years.
Polo is the only one that maintains eye contact for the longest time.
More so than some humans I know!

He is fascinated when I turn on the music and dance all over the house. When I’m painting, working on my leather jackets or bikes.
He always responds when I talk or sing to him.
When he wants to go out, he will look at me as he reaches for the door knob and tries to turn it.
Before he goes out he will make a sound as if to say, thanks,
When he comes in, he will make another sound that he is back.
