Yeah, even living here in crazyville, I'd have to go back in time - looking crazy is one thing - looking old and crazy is quite another!

That's the beauty of living in London, no one cares what you wear!
I mean, this dude is a tube worker in one of the busiest stations in central London!

I can imagine that in Nantes this jacket must be quite a head turner...
Unfortunately my girlfriend said she would refuse to walk next to me i ever wore a Grizzly, women just don't understand....

I get the same feeling with hair on hide jackets...some look so kick ass, like the Himel versions I've seen. But I just don't know if I can muster the stones to sport one.

The SJC one is a more unusual cut than most. I like the shawl collar. It'll be interesting to see it in brown, in due course. Black really stands out in a Grizzly too, which is cool. Don't seem to see as many black ones around - not that you see many Grizzlies about in general, these days. Mouton in the same rust shade as Aero use on their AN6552 would look superb on either a brown or a black leather grizz, imo.

Question for the guys who have Grizzlies: what are they like in the rain?
I haven't worn mine in the rain but these jackets were originally marketed to outdoor sporty types and skiers. So they may get wet but should hold up well unless soaking wet.

My fear is I couldn't pull it off. I love the look just not sure I'd have the confidence to own it! That said I just bookmarked SJC..

The mouton Grizzly's don't look as crazy as they do on photos when actually wearing them. Not so sure about the hair on hide ones. They look super cool 1930's IMO. I am by no means a wild dresser and I feel very comfortable wearing them. Best suited to a trim athletic figure to pull the look off. Women absolutely love them and they give an aura of respect.

I like certain Grizzly jackets on other people, but would never dare myself. I don't have the cahones.

I don't particularly like SJC's new Grizzly style, nor Himel's similar version. Both are discordant to my eyes. I much prefer Himel's other Grizzly repros -- in particular, these:

I really really like those Himel ones. I also really dig the LW hair panel jacket. Very sharp.

No 2 is a handsome specimin. I would love to have it. But those prices are something else. I got my excellent Steve S version for less than half that.

Funnily enough, I'm much more wary of hair-on-hide jackets. They certainly look cool, but if the hair falls out a they wear, I'd be dubious as to whether they'd stay looking cool for long. [huh]

I can certainly see it being fine in a dry snow environment. I do tend to try to avoid wearing a big shearling collar in the rain, though, as they're icky when wet. Still, I imagine the rain can't do it any harm, as long as dried out properly...
