You know as well as I do that people are afraid of those colors today. They get wide eyed and confused about what they can wear it with. Even our "leaders" wear boring suits and boring ties. No wonder people don't like wearing suits and ties. The junk they have to choose from is off-putting.^^Good question. I've got a couple of vintage ties with that combination, and they do look solid.
