A 1950s deadstock Tootal 'black quality':
pleasant find at thrift store today 2 ties for 2 bucks. how about that hunting tie...
the unlabeled one appears to be standard 1940's bold look design and construction. not sure on the date for the Wembley? seems like a late 40's tie, any guesses?
I will send you as many as you want. How many do you want?
Still have that hideous example I dumped on you? lol lol
c. late '60s tie from a store called Ward & Ward. Feels like rayon/acetate, and you know that it's square-bottomed...
With a pocketsquare to match.
Actually I am wearing one, but you can't see it...
^^Nice. Looks like a French sailor...
The tie of the day:
I can see it and it matches.
I am a geometric design tie person but I would say this tie would take me away from my norm. Great tie! Would look great with one of my berets!
The day when we no longer have amazing new vintage tie patterns to show each other will be a sad day indeed, but I don't think that day will ever come. There is just such an ENDLESS supply of great old ties out there. Thanks for posting, everybody! Keep them coming!
No, that's a service ribbon lapel pin. The pocket square was cut out of the photo.
