Thanks Ohairas. I saw the way you did yours so that inspired me to try it out. I bought a whole bag of the movable wave clamps al long time ago on ebay and have never used them. Duh. I am not sure about the ones posted above from amazon? Those don't look like mine.

Does anyone know if they sell wave claps in Sallys on Shaftsbury ave, london?

Kerry, I'd try calling them to find out. I know I've seen them in every other Sally's shop I've ever visited.

Sorry for being totally off topic, but:
I would kill for your PJ!

Haha! Yes - I love them! My sister bought them for me for christmas. They are by Cath Kidston so probably quite expensive but they are yummy brushed cotton - really soft and warm. I'd wear them to work if i could!

EPR, that looks just fantastic! I love the waves!

Miss Hannah, may I be cheeky and ask what dye you use and if you bleach first when you do it...your hair is the most divine shade! Your do looks fabulous, too.

Hello Fleur and thank you - the curls were a big fuzzy mess within 10 minutes of stepping outside my door sadly! I use Live Colour XXL dye which is by Schwarzkopf. I use a shade called Red Passion (I think). They do several really great reds and I don't bleach beforehand - my hair is mid brown, not very light at all, but their reds are really bright.

Oooh...I used to use that on when I lived over there. It's really vibrant. Terrible shame I can't get it here.

It might be worth checking ebay.co.uk if you don't mind the exchange rate :p

Are you kidding?? You get that gorgeous beautiful red color from med. brown hair??? What volume peroxide? I always have to use at least 30, sometimes 40, depending on the shade. And it is really only THAT beautiful, when I bleach and color, or when I use a Temp over my red shade. I've heard of Schwarzkopf before...

Well, it's not me, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread. Ellen Pompeo from Grey's Anatony. I just think it looks lovely!

Schwarzkopf XXL dyes I think just need two parts to be mixed, one bleach, one colour, about 2/3 : 1/3 I think. I used their dye for a pinky streak in my hair, and it's great because you don't have an edge where you bleach to touch up your roots. I don't find it damaging either. By now I'd have lots of breakage if I did. I'd use an all over colour, but not only would the fiance hate it, I'd never keep my roots up to date enough. Hassle, like...

Worse yet Red...its a -box- hair dye. So zero idea what volume it would be.

They truly have some -great- shades of drugstore dyes over there.
:eusa_doh: You're killing me, over here!! I know now I need to make a trip to the UK. Or pray that ebay has some. That's amazing! I'm truly floored!

I can't believe it... I see it, but I just can't believe it. It's gorgeous....I'm so incredibly => :D

Miss Neecerie, I thank you kindly.

I had no idea you could get such beautiful red without bleaching and using temporary color.

I used Schwarzkopf years ago. I would think I'd be able to get it. I'll look into it!
Awesome red Miss Neecerie, thanks for posting!
Texas girl, that is exactly how I wanted to do my hair next time I do the clips! You can even see the bobby pins on hers, :p

hey O'hairas or some other such master hairdresser,
If have mid - dark brown hair. If I put bleach on it for a little bit, do you think It will lighten it enough to dye it a strong auburn colour without damaging my hair too much?

n508217191_243139_4962.jpg

it's this colour at the moment (i'm on the left. Not a particularly good picture of me or my friend!) It has had a lot of permanent dye on it over the years and this isn't my natural colour. what do you reckon?
