Richard, thanks, but I can't take credit. This is actually Steve's hat and I only had my greedy eye on it.

This one I can take credit for but I gladly share that with Daniele (Tanto) who found it for me (among several others). So my thanks go out to him.

Borsalino in the colour Misto lapis, size 56. Grey colour with blue tones. It's a heather felt of incredible quality. Curled brim at 5cm and crown at 11 cm in front. Not a homburg and not a lords hat either, but a dress hat with curled brim. It actually works as a fedora as well but it does not like its brim snapped down. I'm thinking late 1930's.

And so I come home after a week of vacation in Tuscany and I find a parade of such sumptuous hats that I will use all morning on Sunday to watch them.
It is certainly an unexpected pleasure to see so many, wonderful hats gathered in a magnificent procession.
I have not inserted, in the quotes, the bowlers that are not my daily bread, but only for a matter of space. They have an indescribable charm! I have let out from selection those in straw because it is not the right season
What to add more? Except that some are to "steal".

What can I say? These are two fantastic examples of hatters workmanship from a bygone era.

1910s Geo I Eakle.

Hat is flawless. I believe it to be deadstock as it came from a store that closed in the 1980s, and was found among quite a few other hats bearing the same store name "Geo I Eakle". From what i could find, Geo began in 1910.

If it is true, than it is an interesting feeling being the first owner in over 100 years.

The hat is insanely light, green in color, and "Genuine Beaver" felt. The brown discoloration is from another hat sitting on it but that is the only issue.

The liner is a deep green with purple shining through. it looks as though both color threads were used. I've never seen it before but the color shift is mesmerising

My, my, my.........THAT is simply FANTASTIC!!!!!!.........AND now I am green.........great get! You need to start finding 7 1/2 and 7 5/8 for us big boys.......THEN I will be really, really, really impressed.....(and probebly broke when they are found)

there were a few larger ones, but they went fairly quick. a 1915 Stetson expo with a back bow was definately on the want list, but being too large, i hunkered down and nabbed this one

I lost count a long time ago of how many one of a kinds you have presented.
The iridescent liner had to be a total mind blower back in that day. Still is.
