vintage Borsalino found at the Portland Expo. Nothing super fancy but it sports that great thin and tight vintage borsalino felt. The inside was in great shape, but it was super wrinkled and dirty but Mike Miller of Northwest hats cleaned it up, took out the wrinkles and I had him put a new ribbon on it for a little variety from my other borsys.
One of the FL members Cane Rod Maker, just starting hatting and I commissioned a hat with him, I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out! It's modeled after a vintage Stetsonian he has, and the ribbon is vintage also. Even more of a plus, Cane has a large noggin like me so he "gets" big heads.
Fedoralover ! there is nothing like that thin soft Borso felt.

the color is awesome that's what lured me to it...i actually passed this up a while back & returned to the local antique mall & they lowered it to $20.00 out the door..
the Moth's did a job on this so into the freezer for 3 days it went & ill brush & steam later......
it sold new in Sacramento CA, Hesseman shop. killer stitching on the brim edge top brim is mild & bottom brim is thick & bold...nice touch.
Rebecca Like's it !
I really dig this Stitching, More so than a Stetson Playboy.
Here's a real oddball. Manfred found this at a flea-market and posted some pix of it. I asked him if he wanted to sell it and he obliged making me an offer I couldn't refuse. Thank you Manfred! It's a German Mayser "Favorit", also says "Pierre" on the sweat. Not really sure what to call this hat but I like it.
Pretty bronze liner
7/8 ribbon with cute back bow and contrasting brim binding
