2-3/4" brim with thin bound edge and 2 rows of decorative stitching. Still working on getting the sweatband back to its original size, arrived 1-1/2 sizes smaller than tagged and factory stamped(mostly inward curl away from the felt)-so far up to my head as a hat block fit. The 16 ligne ribbon is Navy Blue. Very light, thin and smooth for a Royal DeLuxe. This is the most pristine hat I've ever received--genuinely unworn, even the brim flanging had no trace of a snap. More photos later.

Very, very nice!!! Count me in line if you ever decide to part with it. :eusa_clap

It is my understanding that Pilgrim was made by Lee, and that Lee went out of business in 1964. Lee and Alexander were sub-contractors, finishing hats for Stetson. When Stetson brought everything back in-house(USA), it was the demise of Lee and Alexander.
I do not know who manufactured hats for Sears after Lee.

I just happen to have a Sears very similar to that :D
The top is almost a long oval pork-pie though and the liner is black with the same logo in grey.
Pics to follow:rolleyes:

Mailman brought two packages today!

A green Dobbs Hankachif and a tan Knox Premier.

First the Dobbs - the hat is a bit darker than the photos suggest:

Thanks JtL,RBH Buler ,ScottF. This hat has really impressed me with both style and quality(other than the incredible shrinking sweatband). Anyone know if this was a model with a name? No home for more details...No name post 1940,Pre 1960 Stetson non-Western hats?

Looking forward to more pics. Nice lid, Robert. Kinda reminds me of an early wide ribbon OR. :eusa_clap

Robert, that is a great Royal DeLuxe; superb color to the felt.

Salty, two nice ones in your stable I see. That is a very nice green on the Dobbs.
