This was yesterday's new hat. The sweat is strong and supple, but very faded. If I squint and hold my tongue just right I can make out Milan, but otherwise know nothing about this one, except that the paisley hatband sucked me in.
Smaller brim than I am looking for, but I like the hat.

Picked this one up this week. A tad small on me and already have one like this, so it's going again.
Borsalino Ardilla in Mogano colour. Size 56 with the overwelt brim at 5,5cm and the crown 11 cm at the center dent. The felt is fantastic: a real petting hat. Someone decided to perforate the sweatband for some reason, but that's a minor flaw. Dates from 1979.

Thank you, Stefan. It did indeed find a good home and a very appreciative one, too.Looks good on you, Steve. There always are hats that just don't seem to work for a person. This was one of those for me. Glad it found a good home.
Noticed these are up for auction at my local auction room...Dunn and Co Bowler and Homburg hat in original boxes.
I'm off to have a look tomorrow.

I was a wee bit disappointed . I really liked it. This is the pitfall of buying onine. The only saving grace is that I didn't pay much for it and my daughter is interested in hats.Oh man, I would have never thought it was a 6 1/2.
It's great that your daughter can wear it. Hope she enjoys it.I was a wee bit disappointed . I really liked it. This is the pitfall of buying onine. The only saving grace is that I didn't pay much for it and my daughter is interested in hats.
Thanks, Randy. Mogano is one of the better brown colours by Borsalino, with a nice rich reddish undertone (what do I know: I'm colourblind). For some reason I'm always attracted to the brown tone-on-tones. That is a nice one!
Like the other have said: yes! Very good looking hats. Don't go overboard, but those are worth bidding on for sure.Noticed these are up for auction at my local auction room...Dunn and Co Bowler and Homburg hat in original boxes.

Stefan, Thanks! I am always looking for old Velour hats. That's another beauty, Steve. It might not be the season for velour hats, but you keep finding the good ones.
Hope U Rollit back into shape [emoji4]
Yup.... there’s a vintage Bailey U-Rollit straw in there...
....
Guess it’s a good thing I only paid $9.67. I have a hard time resisting the cool things I grew up with from the good ole days. I’ll see what some steam & magic can do. However I don’t think I posses as much magic as the wizard Desert Dog does in restoring hats.
