it would be. Just finished a long flight back home and spent a good portion of it trying to figure out which jacket to pair with this leather.

I believe TB also can get Aero jackets built in this leather. The Indian Ranger would be cool.

Actually quite a brilliant method to get through a long flight!

I was thinking about the tapering of halfbelt jackets, modern repro makers tend to maintain that the 40s and 50s originals are not very tapered, but this person in this photo seesm to defy such notion. This african-american gentleman must be at least six foot, certainly athletic built, with a shoulder to waist ratio of dramatic degree. He was able to find a HB that is flattering, in both the sleeve department, shoulder, and waist taper!

I don’t know why but these old hockey jackets look cool to me. I’d like one where I could ditch the patches.

You couldn't have picked a cooler example with that collar and those cuffs. I have my Dad's letterman jacket by Reed that I hardly if ever wear but its still cool none the less. I'd definitely rock one in the style you picked with the right color combo all day.

FYI
I made an inquiry to Langlitz's customer service about that Jacket. Here is the reply:

"That jacket you sent a picture of is called a Red Dog. We rarely do them, maybe one every couple years. They start at $1855 in cowhide. That particular one also has a non-standard belt and some pockets on it.

The fur collar, either permanent or detachable, is $125.

Leather options are cowhide or goatskin, and sometimes horsehide. The goatskin is +$100 and horsehide is +$2000.

The catch for Red Dogs is that you would need to come to the shop to get measured. No mail-order for Red Dog jackets.

Our heaviest black cowhide is 3.0 to 3.5oz, and our goatskin runs around 3.0oz, although it’s stronger ounce for ounce than cowhide.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
Cheers!.........Scott "

When's the next flight to Portland!!!
