It's a little..... explicit as an image. I like my pinup girl artwork a little less.... blatant.

^^
Three chevrons is Sargeant in LAPD.

And military, fairly universally. Though in the UK, such rank patches have always been used t'other way up, in a 'v' shape. No idea why the difference between UK and US on that.

Not always been a fan of the blazer look in leather, but the cut of that one is very appealing...

I love it, but would totally feel like a pimp in a leather blazer.

They do tend to be associated with the 70s more... I have a 70s original my mother bought my dad back in 73, year before I was born. She paid £49, which was a lot then (in the UK in 1971 when my parentsd were getting married, £25 was considered a good week's wages for a full-time worker), probably equivalent to buying an Aero or similar nowadays. Dad never wore it, but I did quite a bit in my early 20s when we all got into Carlito's Way.... Still have it, though a fair bit too small for me nowadays.

I would call it bold lol
If you look objectively at the artwork, it is actually not that great. But for some reason it works so well with this jacket

But I think I still prefer this one

Will certainly do! I am curious about Elk, although it is very close to deerskin as far as I know

I've used full-grain elkskin work gloves for years (link). A bit thicker than any deerskin I can recall handling, but very soft/pliable and incredibly tough - you can string barbed wire in the things.
