Red, surely you must've forgotten what happened to that poor astrophysicist for wearing that totally sexist shirt while landing a probe on a freaking comet. Imagine the outrage that jacket'd cause!

That said, 10/10, love it, would wear.

I wish I knew how to paint like that... Who did you say makes that jacket?

The jacket is made by Tenjin, the artist was likely commissioned separately. I would be wearing it now if I had it :D

Don’t be such a prude! At least she is not spreading her... wings! [emoji6]

Wouldn't wear that either, though I suspect both would get me in equal trouble at home!

Marching band

Heh. Makes me think of Hendrix, and Crimean or Napoleonic era jackets, though I can see what you mean about the US marching band thing that retains uniforms inspired by those older, military ones.

I assume it's some thing of this military vibe that isgonig on with the German leathers; that style is very typical of a lot of early German motorcycle jackets I've seen, the mix of buttoned DB along with the mandarin collar.

Interesting. The front reminds me very much of the pre-RAF Royal Flying Corps tunic, referred to in the military as the "maternity tunic":

(Buttons were covered here, though.) The back on that leather is much more interesting than on the RFC tunic!

Yes, it is an early motorcycle jacket, exactly! :)

Desi Arnez in The Long Long Trailer. A2 jacket, high waisted cuffed denim, and engineer boots. Some sort of TFL uniform. My wife and I watched it for the first time last night and she cracked up. “You dress like Ricky Ricardo” says she. I would’ve bet that guy was born in a suit.
