I don't have a lot of experience with straw hats, but my Optimo seems to keep its shape better than my BB, which seems thinner, floppier. I like the color of the Optimo better, too.

Yes! I have a Blue Pearl I bought second-hand I really like. I also like their new Coral and Mustard, but I had been wanting a Nashville in Thoroughbred, and there was practically no chance I would ever find a used one in that combination.
Finding a Blue Pearl, a new color, was very lucky for me.
I think I will continue to wait for them to be on the secondary market. It is a lot cheaper that way.

Speaking of which, I just bought these two used ones tonight. The first is a Midnight Blue Homburg, and the second an older model Western.

I just took a quick glance at the Optimo web site and it appears to me that the 2020 colors are starting to come out and that there has been a significant increase in cost. Does anyone have additional information on this?

Yes. $1200 for Heirloom felt. The Coral, Blue Pearl, and Mustard new colors are Heirloom. That's why I will wait until I can find them second-hand. I love Optimos, but come on. It irks me they increased their prices so much. The new colors sure are wonderful, though.

Wow! Really? Maybe it was discontinued and then put back again, because when I first got into hats last year I bought eleven new Optimos from them and Blue Pearl was not an Option. I used to spend hours deciding on a color, and I am pretty sure it wasn't there.
