With my keen eye for the obvious, I noticed that with Halloween passing by on the calendar the year end holiday decorations have begun to infest the various retail estabilshments I frequent. I have decided to award myself with an X-mas present and ordered an Optimo Black classic weight in the Dearborn style. Tiffani recommended a charcoal ribbon so I am going with that. Scheduled for completion on December 25rd

I was looking through this Thread and realized I had never added this Optimo Dearborn in Black that I received in early January. I added the feather so if you prefer the hat without a feather it is easily removed. Personally, I think it makes a nice contrast but tastes are individual in this world.

I like it. I asked Tiffani for a feather for each of my Optimos when she sent me my latest purchase, and I wondered whether it was "congruent" with my Manhattans and Park Avenues. It seemed to me a feather really was appropriate with a Tyrolean hat, but not mine. Now, however, I wouldn't remove them.

I am trying to go through my hat inventory so I can wear something that I have not worn very often. I tend to wear about a half dozen hats on a regular basis and do not get to the others in my collection. With summer coming on I can also start wearing the Milans and the Panamas. Anyway, here is a Chocolate Brown Optimo that I ordered from Graham when he was out in San Francisco about six or seven years ago. The feather is my addition and you can take it or leave it.

My new Optimo Classic Fedora arrived today, along with a 55 cm. Optimo Milan Graham Thompson made for my wife, Ana.

Three weeks ago I asked Tiffani if by any chance they had a 55 cm. Milan for my wife. I know supplies of Milan straw are very limited, so I wasn't surprised when she said they didn't, but I had to ask.
She emailed me the next day, saying Graham himself was making a Milan for Ana. I was very pleased, and asked her to charge my card for it right away. She said she didn't know how long it would take to make it, so she would wait it until it was finished to Graham's satisfaction.
Then, yesterday, I got an email saying Ana's Milan was in the box with my Panama, and it was free of charge.

I already was a fan of Graham's, Tiffani's, and Optimo. Now I am a huge one.
Both hats are beautiful, IMHO.

The girl wearing my panama is my daughter, Maralisa.

Thanks, Tonio.
I still have an Aubergine due in a couple of weeks.
I asked Tiffani today if I might order the Frank Lloyd Wright without the extras that make it cost $1500.00, and she said no.
I then asked her if I could order the porkpie with the same curled, wide brim as the Wright in a different felt, and she smiled and said she could do that.
So I think I'll order it in Camel, which I know is darker than the swatch they have in their site, with the same ribbon and bow as the Wright, and without the grommets.
Hey, it's a $1000 Wright.

That’s really an incredible color! I got my Manhattan in the darker green and it might be one of the most perfectly proportioned , best fitting and most versatile hats I own. Had to save up for a year to budget it in, and I took my kids into the Chicago Downtown shop a couple years ago during a weekend trip, got fitted, and made the order. No regrets. Not even buyers remorse!
Congratulations on all of those acquisitions! There is something really unique about their Milans, that makes me drool a little.

Great collection! One day I may talk myself into buying a second Optimo. Probably will have to win the lotto first! But I'm anxious to see how the not-Lloyd Wright porker turns out!

enjoy those fantastic hats!
It's supposed to arrive July 16th. I will certainly post pictures.
