New hat day!
My first thought taking it out of the box was that the crown on this hat is thinner and more vintage-esque of any custom hat I’ve had my hands on. This is my fifth Gannon and this is a lot different from any of my others. I tried and was able to blow a crease into the crown! Michael asked if I wanted a thinner crown and I’m so glad I said yes.

All my photos here are with a dry crease that I popped into place in 30 seconds on the hood of my car. The open crown on this navy blue 100% beaver fedora is just over 6 inches and the bound brim is 3 inches. The ribbon is 2 inches wide and the gills are just what I asked Michael for. Absolutely stupendous hat...and the first fedora that I’m thinking about lowering the crown on. :)
You shouldn’t have favorite children, but this is my favorite Gannon!

Dude, that is an amazing fedora. Stunning. Well done, both of you. I wouldn’t take that off if it were mine!

Very nice hat, Brent, it looks great! As Bob already said, the smile says it all.

Michael has made me two custom hats, and he had a hard time finding bodies big enough to do what I wanted. But he remembered me, kept his eyes open and finally found what he needed. It looks like he finally found one for you!

Michael really is great to deal with, and I too have to smile whenever I put on one of the hats he made me. I hope you get years of smiles out of this one.

What color is that 4th ribbon? I lean toward that one. What is #2?

What color is the felt?

The felt is silverbelly (the last of the beaver bodies I got from Art). The ribbon colors, in order, are:
1. Gravel
2. Copper
3. Slate (not the same slate as he has had in the past).
4. Lagoon (same as on your FEPSA).

I’m going to go with a 19L (1.75”) ribbon in gravel. I’m planning a silvermist that I’ll go with lagoon on and I’m looking at a FEPSA silverbelly with an old copper ribbon made by Hufvud.
