It's still busy and I'm short on time, but I do have to dedicate some time
to the fantastic pile of hats the reindeer from the far north have brought for Christmas.
I thought I'd start with one - if not THE - favorite from the bunch:

"Tiger Hat" - "Import" - "Fabricato in Italia" - Homburg "Trento"
with a great felt in a fantastic purple-grey called "Solfuro" = Sulfide;
crown high at centre dent: 11,5 cm; brim at 6-6,5 cm
This hat is in a fantastic near mint condition and the also purplish
silk linning is absolutely wonderful, as the golden imprint logo is.
The size tag is the same as on Daniele's black "La Moda" shop hat.
All the ingredients from the materials to the workmanship to labels
speak a more pre- than post-war language - in my opinion.
But I'm curious what Daniele - the master of Italian hat industry -
has to say about it. Surely he knows even more...

It looks fantastic, Matt!! I love the outfit too! It was really a lucky get. This one was up for sale a year ago but suddenly the seller stoped responding. I am guessing he changed his mind. With summer and warmer temperatures he came back asking if am I still interested. The rest, you know already ;)

This was a new one for me: Seyata Super. The liner says “1856 Torino” which is one year older than Borsalino???? It’s a modern fur felt hat I’d bet is 100% rabbit. It has a machine pressed crown, but it’s pretty easy to reshape. The open crown is 5 1/2” and the raw edge brim is 2 3/4 inches. Glued in liner and no labels hiding behind the sweatband. Not a bad hat for what it is, and it really feels like the black modern religious market Borsalinos I have. Maybe it is Borsalino because despite the size tag it doesn’t fit me. It measures 8 1/8” by 6 5/8 inches so closer to 7 3/8. That’s a big difference even for Borsalino.

Another interesting find, Brent. I'm looking forward to hearing what Daniele knows about that maker.

@ Brent, @ Steve1857 sorry but Seyata Super - Torino 1856 looks like a brand specially made for religious hats of which Borsalino is a great manufacturer. I tell you this from experience because during the visit to the borsalino with Steve, we saw many (marked Borsalino) about to leave for the States. Some were of particular value, others more average. From your photos the felt seems to me to be of the "peach" type, but it may be the sun that helps the reflection. Maybe Seyata was a manufacturer from Turin, bur unfortunatly I have not find information.

Thank you, Daniele. I knew if anyone would know it would be you. This hat falls into the the category of average at best. I appreciate your help.

No need to apologise, Daniele. You've told us more than any of us knew.

Sooros homburg hat in mixed grey. Size 59 with the bound and contrasting brim at a good 5cm and the crown at 10,5cm at the center dent. Very lightweight for a homburg (-ish) hat at only 84 grams. The felt is thin and almost airy with a great hand. It takes on any crease you'd want to try with no effort at all. You can see by the pics how it creases. Fabulous hat, sold by Ugo Puri of Rome.
No other label inside the hat other than the size label.

Took a while before weather permitted to take any pictures. But there was a small window for it today, so here is the first.
Severino fedora in grey (I'd say pearl colour). Size 56 with the brim at 6,5cm and the crown at 11,5cm at the center dent. This hat was a store brand name. Couldn't find anything about the Severino shop in San Remo though. This is an older one with the name as "Flli Severino" (should be short for "fratelli" Severino). The other hats from the same seller have the retailers name as "Francesco Severino". The felt of this hat is a bit rough and it has woolcontent at least if it isn't a complete woolfelt. The crown is incredibly soft and likely has very little shellac in it, if at all. The brim has a very interesting finish which I haven't seen anywhere before. It has a very fine cerrated edge, which isn't stitched. Very odd. Likely forties judging by the styling, but could be pre-war.

Very nice! And since I envy the two Cambiaghi you found in Sanremo, I don't even want to see them. You are too lucky ;-)

The two Cambiaghi hats from the Severino hat shop arrived this week. Interesting to say the least. Let's start off with the grey one.

Cambiaghi in grey mixed woolfelt. A substantial hat, both in proportions, with the overwelt brim at 6cm and the crown at an imposing 11,5 cm at the center dent, but also in weight, because it clocks in at 155 grams. The felt has suffered somewhat from having had a hat (or multiple hats) stacked on top of it for probably decades. Looks like mothing, but it's too even for that. Doesn't detract much from the hat and isn't all that noticeable in real life. Notice the "7 grands prix" on the sweatband.
