How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I would, your vintage MC jacket really looks amazing on you.

But you should listen to yourself instead of others, which is unimportant after all.

Your response inspired me to place both jackets in side-by-side photos (and I thought others would like the comparison). The Rich-Sher is thoroughly broken in. The Schott fit pics are straight out of the box. The only thing that I don't like about the Schott fit is that roll at the belly. Makes me look like I've got a gut. But it's not yet broken in and might look relax with wearing...and end up as great as the Rich-Sher after a little time.

Do not release that Schott! You are quite fortunate they fit you so well! It's a beauty and if I could get that fit from them...things would be different.

The only belly roll is me laughing. I didn’t see one before you mentioned it or after!
Clip those darn tags man...fast!!

I’m probably going to get evicted from the lounge for saying this but I’d return the Schott.

NOT because it doesn’t fit well but what’s the difference between them? When are you going to have an actual reason to pick it over your vintage jacket? If you didn’t have the vintage I’d be telling you to keep it but you do have it....

Differences in colour, style, hell even slanted pockets vs straight are all “good enough reasons” in my book but those two jackets are the damn same....return it and get something a little different.

...just my 2 cents

The belts are different and one has stars on the epaulets. Oh, and the lining color is different.

In all seriousness, I wanted a Schott Perfecto—an American classic that anyone interested in leather jackets should consider adding to their collection. So, I’ve got a vintage Perfecto-style jacket from the “golden age” of American motorcycle jackets. It’s already broken in with gobs of character, patina, and if it could talk it would tell a great story. Now I’ve added a new Perfecto made from Schott’s best stock hide, and I’ll enjoy breaking it in and making it “mine.”

When I feel like going vintage and wearing a piece of history, I’ll grab the Rich-Sher. And when I feel like wearing the modern example of the style, a jacket that’s been with me from day 1, I’ll grab the Schott.

Nothing comes close to replicating the lines of that vintage jacket (sans spending $1500-$2500) but for a new jacket, that Schott looks great. I have come to like that style a little shorter but if I was in your shoes, with that fit, I'd keep. But your problem is that all of your jackets really look good on you so you can be choosy. Truly.

Gamma, If you are fortunate enough to be retired and can spend all day running around rocking great jackets with a different one each day keep both. Otherwise, with the season for that jacket in Detroit being short enough already you need to jettison one. My opinion is to keep the Schott. Fit looks great and I’ve never been much interested in having the history creases of others on my stuff. Earn your own patina.

My new Aero Highwayman in natural horsehide finally arrived yesterday:

I won this one off eBay and it appears to be absolutely brand new, I don’t think it was ever worn outside. I’m not sure what leather this is, it is very light and soft with a smooth uniform finish. Fit is pretty good, although it has the classic Highwayman cut that is a bit looser through the body than I prefer.
The leather is absolutely beautiful and it smells great too. I will post some better photos taken in natural light when I get a chance this weekend.

I'm in a world of pain then, with 14 leather jackets. (Two are for sale currently).

If I'm not mistaken, this is from the Aero x Epaulet collaboration.
