How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I am interesting one of the stock highwayman, but not sure if it's gonna fit me, I normally wear lost worlds at pit to pit 23, shoulder 19.5. (Not tight nor loose).
The highwayman I have in my mind has 23.5 chest and 18.5 shoulder.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Hard to say, I guess it depends on whether your LW jackets fit really tight over your shoulders or if there is room to go down. Chest should be good.

But IMO it’s better to ask Aero directly about fit. Send them an email with your measurements and ask if they think that HWM would fit you?

My new Highwayman from Aero's stock page arrived yesterday. It is maybe slightly too loose on me, but I think that's the way Highwayman is meant to fit. Also, I have couple of tight jackets in my collection, so it is good to have a jacket that allows some layering when needed. (its - 10 Celsius / 14 Fahrenheit outside today.)

I must say that brown FQHH with Lochcarron tartan lining is absolutely superb combination. If such person existed, who wanted to have only one Aero jacket, I would probably recommend a Highwayman with this leather / lining combination.

I suppose if sleeves are long enough and you're ready to accept some discomfort in shoulder area in start, you should be fine with those measurements. I believe the leather will stretch that missing inch during break in to fit your shoulders. In the end you might even have better fit than if you bought a jacket that was roomy and comfortable to begin with.

Just make sure that sleeves are 0,5 inch (or more) longer than your usual jackets, because that missing inch from shoulders will make your sleeves look shorter. If sleeves are slightly too long, that should not be problem with FQHH jacket, because they will crumble during brake in process and become a bit shorter.

just my 00,2 Euros...

After mulling over a custom leather I finally found a vintage button front in goatskin on uk Ebay at a third of cost of a new custom.
Super happy about the condition and details on it such as a (5) button front with neck closure ,cuff cinch, action belted back, chest zips and slash waist pockets. Above all that it appears to be my size from measurements, the sad part is I have to wait delivery from uk. Liner appears mint and leather has nice patina without the wear.
Will post more pics when I get it .
Hope to wear this in the future to a Distinguished Gentleman Ride !

Put in an order last week with Lewis Leathers for a Cyclone.

They quoted me a waiting time of 13-21 weeks. Aahhh this is gonna kill me! :D

I am toying with a Wested Leathers Skyfall jacket, possibly in shrunken lamb...anyone have experience with this kind of jacket? I know its a copy of the old Levis 1930's style, looks quite nice if its in the right hide

It's here! I added an extra 1.5" to the waist for a better fit. I think it's looking good. And clearly I've been on vacation too long, I need to shave.

That's a banging jacket I want it and I'd get exactly that fit it's perfect u ought to be over the moon with it, I had a feeling you'd be replacing the seal with redskin...When u say 1.5 inches bigger at the waist ?? Does that just make it a tad wider on waist only and is it because you've gained or are planning on gaining weight ... Sometimes the red can be to red or even pinkish but you've hit gold with that one.... Nice one Art

the leather will be soft and light.. far from a FQHH jacket.. but if the price is right and it fits I expect you'll get a nice jacket.

I originally bought a size 38 redskin D-1 on eBay through Thurston. I had to return it because the jacket's waist was too narrow. Carried recommending add 1.5" based on the sizing of my other jackets and my pant size. She sent my measurements off to Aero and my new jacket arrived in 6 or 7 weeks. It was fast!

Wested make a very nice jacket for the money. Don't expect Aero quality - they're a fraction of the price - but they are a good deal, all things considered. In terms of specific hides, I have a Wested Raiders in goat, which is as light as I'd go - very light (much more so than Aero's goat), but still doesn't feel 'fragile'. I've always avoided lamb in a jacket because it's just too light for me, too easily torn. I gather the shrunken lamb is supposed to be a little tougher, less easily damaged. Worth talking to Wested - they're generally quite open, afaik, to ordering their jackets in any of the hides they have available, so you're not limited to that. I'm considering picking up one of their 'das Boot / Doctor Who' jackets at some point as a way of experimenting with that style without committing high-end money if I turn out not to wear it so often.

I've also seen some great bargains on used Westeds on eBay, fwiw.
