I have bought 3 hats from the store over the past 5 years or so. The shop is crammed full of hats of all kinds. If you ask for a certain style or brand of hat they know right away if they do or do not have it. Bought a Stetson straw from there last summer. I didn't like the band so he took it off pulled out a box of bands and let me pick the one I liked. He then put it on and steamed it smooth. Good service to say the least.

The Hat Store List

I've read and I've searched and I can't find the answer. I have, however; read other posts where members complain that they can't find the answer, either.

Q. Where is a good bricks and mortar hat store near me?

Like many of you, I would travel a good distance to go to a good hat store. The problem is the remaining hat stores are too small to advertise much and known only to locals. Some cowboy stores will carry fedoras, but they aren't going spend much to tell the rest of us.

Sooo... how about a list of bricks and mortar stores that sell dress hats in the US?

I am willing to compile the list if you will help supply the data.

What I am looking for are stores that sell decent hare and/or beaver fedoras above $100. I'm not looking for reviews. I'm not wanting to start fights about the character of store owners most of us do not know.

I just want to know where to find the store.

I will need the store name, address, city, state, zip, and phone.
If the store offers any services, please add those, too, followed by any notes you want to make about how to find them.

I will maintain one post and edit as needed. I will also attach the excel in a zip file. I will commit to keeping the list up for one year and, then, we can judge if the work is worth the effort.

The criterion is that you must have felt hats over the $100 price point, a physical address, and maintain store hours or accept appointment. This did exclude one very famous Hollywood store.

The list is sorted by state, then city, and then store name. Please post any stores you know of that I have missed and offer any corrections.

No address, no phone. Not posted on his website either. 122 Pleasant Avenue shown on graphic pulls up as ACE Bond. I also have an address 9609 Deadfall Rd, Brighton, TN 38011 that is listed in a dealer list for western hats, but no phone number.

The idea is to be able to call ahead and drive there from a ways away. Please provide so we can put him on the list.

I use the 9609 address as my ship to address, I have had two packages stolen, from the store address, cause the UPS driver just left them in the door way when store was closed. When something is sent to 9609 Deadfall Rd, there is always someone here to show the UPS, or Fed X where to leave the package, never had one not get to me when shipped to 9609 Deadfall.
