Hückel Homburg in black, you can never have enough black homburgs, from Hut Lange. Stefan thinks this one is from the 1960s. Very fine quality all around. Smooth and supple felt, great stitching.

The hatmaking business "Singewald" opened its shop for the first time in Gera. The hat fashion was to change over the centuries, but the Gera tradition store was still after the turmoil of World War II and there he was on the Sorge in the house number 44 to find.

Hückel Weilheim Hat Holders made by Zeitler - Karton, Murnau / Oberbayern possibly early to later 1950s. The Hückel plates on the fronts are made of a tin like metal and possibly hand painted (I will check with Zeitler). The company moved to Murnau in 1949 and are still in business today.

Thank you for posting it here. I was thinking it might be Mayser but now I tend to think not. As I mentioned the trademark could have been owned by a wholesaler / distributor. I haven't been able to find a trademark link to either (German hat company or wholesaler / distributor). Does it have a paper label?

Sorry, I had completely forgotten about this after my vacation to the states. Here’s that label....

Thanks! I think it was made by Mayser. The 550 is the Farbe / Color. Here are a couple Mayser hats with the same color.

I think proves that the "Windsor" mark was used by Mayser. I am not sure why I wasn't able to put this together before. I guess I was looking for the words too. I did see a Masyer Mills hat on auction that had "Imprägniert" which made me think that Mayser was involved with "Windsor" but now I think the mystery is solved.

Johann Hückel´s Söhne "Crystall Velour", measures 57cm, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 inches probably later 1930s. The light green Velour is very high quality and easily dry creases. The paper label is missing. The color will photograph better under natural light.

Another great find, Steve. Lovely looking velour. I love the twisted bow-knot and the way the bow-ends drape over the brim.

P. & C. Habig Wien Berlin Kreissäge / Boater made for the P & C. Habig Wien Friedrichstraße, Berlin store. I found this one a while ago and I have to say it's fantastic. :) It's in NOS condition and is from the 1920s early 1930s.
