Dear Loungers,

Thank you for welcoming me to your group, and thank you for making this site viewable by non-members.
Your kindness in doing so has allowed me to avidly read all of the opinions and advice posted here, and helped my buy 6 flight jackets over the last 5 years, with never a need to send anything back.

Invaluable; that's what this forum is.

I guess you'll be wanting to see some pictures of my treasures...

Thanks Worf, that's very kind of you.

I'll have to think of something to post so I can bust that '15 posts before being able to post pics' thing. Err...

You can post pictures using a hosting service like photobucket, Flickr, etc. Noone really does "attachments" when they post photos. And welcome!

Just been messing around with Photobucket, so I'll post some pics.

Here are my USN jackets.

First up is my G-1 that I found in a thrift store. I bought it for next to nothing, and I still can't decide if it's genuine or not. It's got all the hallmarks of a nasty 70's/80's jacket; Ideal zipper, nylon cuffing, less than spectacular goat (?) skin, fake fur collar, USN hole-punched in the storm flap, which make me think that it's for real. However, the fact that it is a size 48 seems a little odd; what with fighter jocks all being small guys. Anyway...
I decided the best thing for it (since it looked so 'period') was to get some Vietnam tribute art work.

The second jacket is a Lost Wolds G-1.
For the record, dealing with Lost Worlds (yep, I know their reputation) was simple and straightforward. No problems.
The LW jacket isn't a great replica of a WW2 jacket (I guess much closer to being a great Korean War vintage replica), but this jacket is built so tough, I'm very fond of it.
Anyway, thought that it needed a little something, and sent it off to get a little artwork.

Maybe not to everyone's liking, but hey, it's about personal freedom, right?

Big J,
Nice artwork on the G-1's. Welcome to FL. You are destined to spend years of viewing many topics on this site. Brew a nice cup of coffee and enjoy, while sitting in your comfy chair.

Thanks for all your kind comments!
The artist was John Canfijn in Florida.
You can find him here;

I'll post some pics of my Aero's- they're more 'regular'.
