For Sale: Vintage Stetson HOMBURG. 7 & 5/8, GRAY

This has always been the gem of my collection, the best of the best.

Vintage (I would confidently put it in the 50s or maybe a little earlier) Royal Deluxe Stetson St Regis Homburg. A very buttery felt, medium gray, black ribbon, bound curled edge. NOT stingy. Leather sweat is fine, tagged a 7 & 5/8. No damage, no problems. This is the formal color and style associated with the diplomatic corps, bankers, etc.

I wish I could afford to buy a hat now. I would jump on this. Should make someone a great bargain for your original asking price. The hat looks super clean almost new!

It looks beautiful. I think either offering price falls in the fair/reasonable range. Are there size tags, etc, under the brim? Box?

Yes, the size tag is under the sweatband, 7 & 5/8. I'm surprised this is sitting as so many seem to mention it as a hat they'd like to have, and this size is very uncommon. I'm such a long oval that even with an LO hat, I have to go up a size (7 3/8 to 7 1/2) to avoid a distorted brim. This one needed a little tissue under the band to get it to fit.

Yes indeed...it is fantastic seeing all the "love" being shared and spread around in the Lounge. I would have jumped on that hat if I would have had the money, but right now things are just not allowing me anything "extra" at all.

Yes....l was agonizing over this one......then decided I would ask a little more info (I was the "pm") then pounce on it (no pun intended). But alas, apparently waited to long to make up my mind. Glad it went to a fellow lounger !!
