Does anyone know when this company was in business? I've done some research on the www finding only some information about them prior to WWII. Tomasso found a beginning date of 1896 for another thread. A "went out of business date" (if there is one) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi

It does look like they were in business in 1921:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130207765068

1921 AD FOR E.V. PRICE & CO. - CHICAGO MEN'S CLOTHIERS

...and also in 1939:

I also found a mention of the company in some kind of archive:

http://www.library.illinois.edu/archives/uasfa/0101010.pdf

E. V. Price and Company and Board of Trustees
ROTC uniforms contract and bond for 1939-40 (ROTC uniforms to be furnished for
advanced course students) bond for $5,000

Hope this helps a little.

cheers

joe
