I am going to have to try that app then. I can't stand missing out cause of life.

I don't remember doing anything special in terms of settings, so I think by default it will automatically send you a reminder notification 15 minutes before an auction that you are watching ends. It's a pretty nice feature. (Of course, you may have to allow push notifications on your phone settings, but every phone is different so I'm not sure for your specific model.) I would suggest testing that feature out on an auction you don't care about just to make sure it works. :)

I use my phone for bidding almost 100% of the time. The app is very easy to use.

BTW - you know the Super Bowl is today, right? Or are you still at the party? :D
Hahaha...im not a sports fan. I went because the wife asked me to. Then she berated me for not leaving after an hour...[emoji19][emoji849]
I didn't wanna go in the first place, but if you make me...damn real I'm gonna live it up!

I will have to use the app from now on, eBay just frustrates me nowadays. Back when I had time to sit in front of the computer all day, eBay was awesome. There were soooooooo many more "buy it now" sales. Nowadays it seems everything is a stupid auction...and I'm no gambler.[emoji724]

Copy that, thanks for the info! I'll definitely try it out on something that won't cause too much heartache. [emoji16][emoji1476]

Thank goodness for that, Alex. Glad, no not glad (still would rather have it for myself); but relieved to see it go to someone who appreciates it and it will fit wonderfully well in your collection. Congrats! A full report is expected of you when it arrives of course:)

It really looks quite wonderful, Bowen. I have that later Berteil/Borsalino nutria hat, but this one shows that the cooperation between the two was very old indeed. What's also special about it is that it is dated on the inside of the sweatband: 24th of august 1925. The date is more confirmation of the use of the cell-type label by Borsalino with written sizes in that period.
Wonderful Stepan. Like a Cat, i’m getting curious. I’m might have to summons the courage to turn out the sweatband in mine. Humm

This sold on Ebay a few days ago to a lucky bidder, didn't seem like the seller knew what it was, didn't say where it came from or what to do with it other than sell it. "Obviously needs restoration" (yeah in his opinion, but this is something you wouldn't want to touch! IMO!!!)

Someone else knew what it was too, haha was it anyone here with the winning bid?? I cheers my glass to whoever got it? I tried to bid at the last minute but someone probably had a Titanic Max bid, I didn't want to out myself and drive the price up too high for someone else.

I believe it could have sold for much more than it went for if the seller knew what it was etc..provenance would have made this an invaluable one of a kind with incredible history rest assured. Studying these photos I soon noticed it must be a Hat Recycled from A-2 flight Jacket. What is the patch for? Service in the Pacific? The writing inside the brim, I can make out BAR COAST only...I saved the photos to share them here if I may?

You'll never see another one of these anytime soon. WOW!

thoughts and opinions please.

I was thinking of a new thread called "Running the Bases" to showcase the numbered hats (Fifteen, Twenty Five, Fifty, One Hundred) but it looks like Max has the grand slam! Nice hats, Max, keep the pictures coming so I can keep dreaming :)
Interesting!
Wonder if anybody out there can “Run the Bases” with Stetson?? Hint hint
