Make it beyond buttery Carlos, really cool fit, even the sleeve looks trim and probably the sleeve lenght is the most perfect on you from my point of view

I recently went for 10 days travel though Tasmania. Driving holiday. I tookone Indy Gibson and Barnes goatskin jacket. Perfect for traveling. But I nearly went out of my mind not having a choice of jackets. OUT OF MY MIND!

Back in high school, I wore the same leather jacket every day. Actually, that jacket lasted for years, until I grew out of it. I still have it. Now 2 sizes too small. I did everything in that jacket. Drinking. Puking. Bar fights. Camping. Fishing. Motorcycle rides. Hot dates. Surfing. Travel. Gambling. Scuba diving. I jumped the shark with that leather jacket, and a pair of shorts.

It was an A-2 style. Back then, I didn't know what was authentic, or what to look for. But now, looking at it, it has quality knit cuffs which still are in great shape, a single piece back, and a heavy duty brass zipper. The only thing that I knew was that I liked that it looked like Fonzie's jacket, and that it was $100 from the factory.

Manufacturing was huge back in those days. And almost every kid's family had a family member associated with the garment industry. Seamstress, dock worker, truck driver, et cetera. Even the white collar families had an accountant, a lawyer, or somebody in the office.

The cool kids had Derby jackets.

We started "Shelter In Place" this week. The entire city has been advised to stay home.

I have been wearing this jacket every day, every time I leave my house. It's official issue. Meant to be worn over civilian clothes. It allows for identification. Nobody ever thought that there would be a citywide order to stay off the street. For the time being, all non-uniform workers are wearing safety jackets during the work shift. And some are wearing it all the time, so that uniformed patrol will see them and know that he or she is part of the team.

Wind resistant. Rain resistant. Quilted lining. Inside pockets. Hood in the collar. Does a good job in the rain. Warm if worn with appropriate intermediate layers of insulation. Most guys wear a hooded sweatshirt with it.

highly doubt that would leave any slightest sign of worn even after 300 days in that.

The green part stains easily. Stains set and don't wash off. Because of the color, you can't see dirty marks unless you look closely.

Some jobs allow for wearing ordinary street clothes. Your own clothes. So usually guys wear hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, and cargo pants.

Blue windbreakers were the standard for years. Keep it in the trunk of your car. Put it on if you need everyone to know who you are.

Now city agencies are turning towards the High Viz stuff. So you look like a tow truck driver with a gun. While it's suppose to be "official uniform", it's not. No standards. Every division sort of uses whatever they want, and it all looks just a little different. All green, green with black, patrol jacket which reverses to green, or even just the green vest. Bicycle patrol which should have green, wears blue. And if you are already in a uniform, and you don't like it, you simply don't wear it at all. Motorcycle cops have a different all green rain coat which is like what crossing guards at schools use. And it really makes no sense to see Police directing traffic, when there is an entire city agency called Parking & Traffic.

What do any of your posts in this thread have to do with wearing a jacket continuously for an extended period of time to make the grain pop out..??

Apologies. I thought we were talking about wearing a jacket for a month. I must have missed the rest about the grain popping out.

:)everyone is free to post their everyday jacket, the theme of the thread originally is a self applied challenge to wear a single jacket for fun and post photo periodically to show evolution of said jacket until 30 days worth of wear, it can be leather, can be denim, can be anything but it won't be fun if the jacket doesn't evolve for the better by the end of the challenge:D
