It used to be Detroit....
Anytime soon I'll be ordering a pair of saddle shoes from Muffy's, but before I do I'd like to hear some opinions. Is the service good? How long do they take to arrive? That sort of thing.
Thanks in advance

I've got a pair from Muffy's by Stewart Marshall. They're GREAT!!! They really look vintage. I got them over a year ago, so I don't remember how the service was, but I think it was good!

My Muffy's brown-and-whites are my all-time favorite casual shoes -- I've had them more than a year and given them hard wear, and they've held up beautifully. (Even the original laces are still holding up!) Very solid, reliable, comfy shoes -- and they get lots of admiring comments.

Ordering was very efficient -- I got them in less than a week!

I just nabbed a pair of tan on white/pearl gray suede/buck saddle shoes for $25.00 from J.Crew! Get over there now before they run out! I went to 3 J. Crew's to find my size (the 2 in Manhattan were sold out. I ended up getting mine on Long Island).

Well, so far so good.

I just checked at J. Crew and found zilch. 25 bucks is one heck of a deal!

Now here's another question - Is it OK to wear these in the winter?
The pure white and black ones......I'd say no. I mean, I don't. Since I don't wear them for a functional reason (ie school), I just see them as another pair of mostly white Summer shoes.

I've been thinking about buying a pair of Muffy's SM-108 Soap-and-Saddle for casual wear with jeans. I'd like to accommodate my insoles since I do a lot of walking/standing and get plantar fasciitis really easily. I e-mailed Muffy's a long time ago but never got a response--does anyone know if the insoles are removable on the SM-108's? If so, I can order my normal size. If not, I'll have to order a half-size larger.
