My conformer is on the way! Every time I look at this thread, I get another great idea. There are just so many beautiful hats here...I should probably stop looking, or I might never decide. At the moment, I have it narrowed down to two choices...silverbelly with a blue ribbon, or black cherry. The decision may involve a coin...

You see, that's the rub and the reason you can't just get one. Today I heard the kiddos say, "Another hat Daddy, really?" as I opened the VS box with my new black cherry. Woohoo. Will post pics tomorrow.

Bart, the color is amazing isn't it? It is such a beautiful, dark shade. The flash makes the top two photos brighter than the hat looks in "real life". Tried to catch some outdoor shots but I ran out of sunlight. I will try to get some more "artsy" shots when I have more time.
BobC, MarkD, and GTDean all helped me kick around some ideas for a thinner ribbon to make the hat a little less formal, and I thank you guys for the ideas. Art suggested going with a dark grey or black accent when we spoke and I love what he did. This is now my favorite hat, hands down!!!!!

Wow, I am really lovin it. I have to tell you I really like it with the thinner ribbon. An amazing end result that started with a color that is my favorite by far. Enjoy
