I also don't pass judgement based on partial information.

If you don't think Mark Moye has read every post here you've just being naive, he isn't going to be sued, we won't see it play out on Court TV. Of course he'll be tried here based on the evidence we've already heard. The fact we haven't heard Mark's side is no one's fault but his own.

As far as being offended, you need a thicker skin and better reading comprehension frankly.

I have never been a mouthpeice for Mark Moye's business practices...and have never ordered an Aero jacket through him. I do resent your insulting accusation. I never could understand ordering through Aero USA..rather than going through Scotland. With my figures..on paper..the price was about the same as Scotland including what I payed in duties, etc. What I have done is express my opinion that something extreme went wrong on Mark's end(I have no idea what that could be). However..I have known him for years...and still insist that this is completely out of charactor for the Mark that I knew.
As far as Aero Scotland...I can't help but brag them up. My relationship with them has always been stellar..so why wouldn't I..? Over the years..I mainly delt with Ken Calder who helped me with my first Aero jacket purchase years ago and many future orders. From his presence on other forums and the quality of his service and jackets...of course I became a fan. I do express my experiences and pleasure with, especially, their Hvy FQHH...Ken...Amanda...Edith..Will..and others involved with putting it all together. You seem to resent that. All I can say is...Tuff..! I could care less what you think of my opinions or recommendations except for the personal insults. Your mouthpeice, however,is always ready to insult or belittle those that may find that Aero Scotland..and their utility jackets are their choice among all others..and dare express that conclusion.
No one knows exactly what did happen between/with AeroUSA and Scotland...and everyone involved...yet.

Whether you think you were a mouthpiece or not is irrelevant, you and Butte are based simply on your "status" here at the lounge like it or not. There is no accusation towards you or Butte, pretty simple to understand that if you read what both I and Holly actually wrote instead of Butte's overly dramatic reply to something that wasn't even leveled at him.

Basically my point is Mark Moye made it a point to not drop the ball on the more active posters on this site for obvious reasons, if you want to be insulted by that by all means knock yourself out.

Here is what Holly wrote:

"It's starting to look obvious to me that the forum members, certainly those who post frequently were supplied with their jackets to help bolster Mark Moye's reputation."

She is of the same mind I am that clearly Mark Moye made it a point to provide the more active members with excellent service while stringer others along for years. If you don't think there's a reason for that so be it, I happen to think there was a very clear reason. Not sure why you guys are looking to be offended but it is the internet.

About a month ago I asked here in the lounge for information on Aero A2 original contract replicas. I am from Europe, I have never ever dealt with Mr. Moye and I never knew of him until this thread. Well, when I opened my thread, Butte posted several times giving his opinion on the Aero contracts, answering my questions and he posted some pictures. What the hell he wanted to help me for if I wasn't going to make any deal with Mr.Moye. I'm an European customer and I dealt directly with Amanda from Aero Scotland. Please, THINK TWICE before making that kind of accusations against lounge members.

Hi my sufraggist friend! :p

I put my hand on fire for you too. Sorry but I think this guy is paranoid. Sorry for what happened to you and I wish you the best but please, stop naming people.

What the heck are you talking about? If English isn't your first language I apologize but after the three or four further explanations I think it's pretty clear you read my post wrong. If simply acting very offended on the internet is just something you need, again knock yourself out.

Read again:

"It's starting to look obvious to me that the forum members, certainly those who post frequently were supplied with their jackets to help bolster Mark Moye's reputation."

Pretty simple right? Mark Moye used the transactions with more active members here to bolster his reputation while at the same time stringing others along for years. That seems either clear or a large coincidence.

No..frankly..You need to reign it in and better understand the dif between criticism and personal insults. I read your post just as it was typed. None of us should be required thicker skin..even if reading your posts or theories.

@ Aerojoe: Thanks friend. I appreciate the kindness here.

@ DrV.: Oh, I get it. But the not so subtle insinuation in using the term "Mouthpiece" makes your explanation utter FQHS. I don't care what you think. When I joined here, I needed help and advice and got it from senior members. As I've learned (a fraction of others) I've tried in turn to help. Sure, there's been some really entertaining threads here - not all friendly - but it IS the internet, and that happens.

Mouthpiece:
"chiefly derogatory a person or organization that speaks on behalf of another person or organization: they become nothing more than a mouthpiece for the company.

I hope to eventually feel the way that most of you do, but for now I'm on the other end.

I placed an order w/ Mark back in November and paid $1075, in full.

Up until last week, Mark had been communicating that I should expect delivery anytime.

On Sunday, Mark emailed and called with the news of closing and assured me I would get a refund in a couple of days but he hasn't responded since.

Though the jacket is finished, Aero in Scotland has received no payment, so they and I are both out.

For now, I feel lied to and stolen from.

I don't blame you Jeff..I would feel the same way. Hopefully things will be resolved. Even Mark's wife is trying to help put things in order.

Guys............. a little calm before a bartender decides you have had enough and locks this thread again, pretty please? ;)

Perhaps we should focus on trying to find a way to help our US fellows. I don't know, I'm waiting for an order that is due in May, but if Aero is currently snowed under with outstanding orders from the States, just delay mine, I don't care. Please contact me. Or maybe we could make a list with all outstanding orders from lounge members. Whatever, please count on me.

I totally disagree with you, sir! It should be "H"QHS. I know this to be factual, having observed horses on several occasions ......

...But it's not only the jackets that were not ordered..to make up...but much of the money put down on them that seems missing.

There is nothing wrong with the term mouthpiece, when you enjoy the reputation as an authority on this board and use that reputation to either promote certain sellers or brands then you by default become a mouthpiece for them if by only your "status" (real or imagined) on a site that is an authority on such things on the web.

There is nothing insulting about it just the way it is and I certainly never said or insinuated anyone was "in-cahoots" with Mark Moye, simply Mark used the orders from more active members here to give excellent service to knowing they would give him a good testimonial here and it would carry quite a bit of weight and he would have his reputation bolstered on this site.

Yes, let's keep it civil, the way it has been going since the Scottish Otter made his post. The ones who didn't get their orders placed need to have a forum to communicate with each other. And I would like to see how it plays out.

If it heats up again, perhaps a PM warning from a Bartender to the offending parties would suffice. If not, then a short suspension would get their attention. I am a moderator on another forum, and this is they way I handle these situations when the the thread is worth saving. Our Bartenders do a lot of behind the scenes work that we never see. It can be a time consuming job. Let's not make it more difficult for them. PC.

Damn, but reading of the guys who made payments in full for one ... or, in some cases, multiple jackets and are left holding the bag sort of puts my measly $500 deposit, which BofA is investigating as we speak, into perspective. Still, I wish I were waiting for UPS to drop off the Aero LHB right about now, rather than a packet from Bank of America about a billing dispute/fraud investigation.

HD ... you wrote that Moye's wife is "trying to help put things in order." Have you been in contact with Moye? I wrote him Monday morning, and he immediately wrote back, saying a PayPal refund would be issued "in a day or so," which I interpreted to mean "no later than Tuesday." Since then, I've heard nothing from him, despite several attempts to contact him.

Thanks for you help ... have a great weekend out on the deck.
