    I sent Panama Bob a couple of emails with some general questions but never received any response. Since his "sale" hats are selling fast I bit the bullet and ordered a size 7 1/2 white Cuencano; one of the only white ones left in my size. We'll see.

    Thanks EggHead and Monbla. I dropped Bob an email. I may order one of the sale hats if he gets back to me. In the meantime, I have a fawn Akubra Capricorn now and a grey Capricorn and cream Rink on order with Sam at EA. Should be here in time for summer and the brims on these polypropylene hats...

    Concur wholeheartedly. Although it is brimmed, in weather like we have been getting I usually wear my wool Tilley winter hat (with built-in ear and forehead flaps). Got one for my wife this year and she loves hers as well!

    Similar reactions here. Only 5" 7" but 210 - 215#, former competitive bodybuilder with (what my wife always tells me) is a permanent scowl. Hats are probably just a curiousity to others.
