Beautiful pictures and a great jacket!
Some of the best - and most beautiful - sea kayaking in the world is to be had in that area. Gordon Brown, one of THE best sea kayakers/instructors in the world, is based in Skye.

I can also relate - but thank God for free weights, heavy bags, and firearms (range shooting). Much better therapy than meds or counseling!
Worf = Indiana Jones???? OK, the guy has some serious issues going on.
What the heck, it's Friday - almost time for the weekend. At the end of the...
No problem. If you lift than you will need a jacket that has sufficient shoulder and arm room and the G&B cut seems to allow for these as well as chest/lat girth.
47"/33" here but my height/weight (5'7"/208#) make it even tougher to find a good fit. Until my finances warrant a custom jacket I did find a used "historical" horsehide G&B A-2 on eBay sometime back in a size 44S. While the chest is a bit tight the shoulders, sleeve length, and waist are a...
Supposedly the A-2 Sinatra is wearing is the very same jacket worn by Bob Crane in Hogan's Heroes:

Jen and Deb are no longer at The Hattery so it is possible the newer employees don't know the FED runs smaller. Although I usually wear a 60 in an Akubra (and I have sixteen Akubra felts), I wear a "small" 61 in a FED. If you contact them when you order they can try to select a larger or smaller...
For a time Akubra manufactured and one of the distributors in OZ carried a navy blue Stylemaster. I picked up one on eBay last year and saw another there a couple of weeks back.
I concur with Tom re. a Moonstone Fed IV (or Stylemaster), a more universal color IMO.
Oh well, thanks for trying. I would get the silverbelly but I already have two Camp Drafts in that color, one being the Heritage grade. (Perhaps if Akubra offered a "less tan/more silver" color in the 2 5/8" width I might reconsider)
My collection of Akubras includes four Heritage/Deluxe models...
Good one, but it should also pay some homage to you Tom since you have been talking about this configuration at least as long as I have been frequenting the forum.
Thirty years in the chemical, and specifically coatings, industry. Currently a Technical Director overseeing R&D, product develpment, quality control, and environmental compliance for a coatings manufacturer. Almost as boring as it sounds!
Coincidentally, my sister-in-law was telling me about this book over the holiday weekend.
As I noted above, I have just finished "Hell's Cartel: IG Farben and the Making of Hitler's War Machine" by Diarmuid Jeffreys. This book traces the rise of IG Farben, the German chemical conglomerate...
Setting the record straight: I NEVER insulted you on YouTube. My original comment was a reply to Wolfwood's regarding the Akubra Fed IV. As I mentioned before, I even applauded your video (the only comment you didn't delete).
I have tried to remain civil regarding this issue bust must admit...
