HELP! Mice damage to my Cooper A2 flight jacket.
toTaLLY totally get another one...be less than a repair...just get another your size...and put havahart traps out in your closet i have near mint size 44, 46, and 46L cooper a-2s if those happen to be your size...i got over them a long time ago and will eventually sell them on ebay, but let...- johnnyjohnny

schoTT a-2s strange doctor...yes, schott makes something they call an a-2...but as i mentioned, is not really, including being made of lamb (bahhhhhhhhhhhh) and a vertically split 2-piece back...you astutely called it wrong in every way but fletch, i'd say yours is their contracted...- johnnyjohnny

some infO very nice jacket...a few bits of info with respect... the cooper you have is a later version made by cooper, which is NOT a replica or civi version, but actual made for the usaf contract...the cooper saddlery, a superiour jacket to the later cooper, was not made contemporaneously...- johnnyjohnny

wondering if anyone knows, aside from using dye, what type of conditioner or leather cream can safely darken medium brown jacket leather as shown in the pic below into almost an A-2 or G-1 degree of dark brown? i know many creams or conditioners will normally darken leather...wanted or...- johnnyjohnny

vote for selling it must say that from the numerous pix i've seen of actual ww2 luftwaffe pilots, the fit of your jacket is how they actually wore them but in the same breath i must add that it looked bad on them...not sooo bad on you, but still not the right fit for modern times but even...- johnnyjohnny

aNSWERS... thanks james, sorry it's a size or two too small... BUT RIKBB...this may fit you...i just sold a schott actual milspec A-2 from the 80s and it was only 24.25" in the back whereas the SPIEWAK is another 3/4" in the back, the standard size for most older A-2s...so that helps there...- johnnyjohnny

well, of course not...howevahhhhhh... i search ebay for watches and motorcycle jackets like a shark must swim to keep breathing... so, having spent my budget for expensive decent to high quality leather jackets, several times over if the truth be known, i went sLumming for something cheap...- johnnyjohnny
