Darn, looks like I missed a good show. lol
There must be something in the air lately because a different forum I belong to, as well as a facebook group, has been having the same problems the last couple days. Weird how it all seems to explode at once.

This was so fun to watch! The editing to smooth things out was done brilliantly. I love these windows to the past that show regular, everyday people going about their daily lives. Thank for sharing!
"A bowl of lettuce soup for supper" is a cure for insomnia? Um, no thanks. lol! Otherwise, these were cute to read, and mostly applicable today, lettuce soup notwithstanding.
Did anyone watch this last night? I was disappointed. Character development is forced and awkward, and I absolutely cannot stand Jeremy Piven. And the actress they have playing his wife is about as exciting as oatmeal. It's a great concept, but I think they needed to spend more time building...

Our house was built in 1935 and has the original wood floors, that have never been refinished. They had been covered for years with carpet, which a prior owner removed, but never bothered refinishing the floors, lol. They look awful with uneven splotchy varnish, scratches, etc. However, since...
I'm sad to see O'Brien go. Nasty as she was, there was a fierce loyalty and kindness in her towards those that she loved. I wish the actress would allow a couple of episodes in the 4th season to give her character a proper send off.
Jumped shark or not, I love Downton and will watch it...
My mother, born in 1930, loved her father and was a total Daddy's Girl. Sadly, her parents divorced when she was 8 years old, and she never saw him again. All her life she wondered what happened to her father.
Fast forward to 2010. My Dad and I had done a few internet searches on her...
Yes. Totally off topic, but when it was announced that Aidan Turner (Mitchell) was leaving BBC's Being Human to go be Kili the dwarf on The Hobbit and that being in The Hobbit was going to shoot his career into the stratosphere, I just shook my head and sighed.
I agree about Thomas's plotline. Very unrealistic. While I personally applaud the PC sentiments, the whole time I was shouting at the TV, "that NEVER would have happened then!!" Although I did get a kick out of the Earl's line, "If I had shouted about every boy that tried to kiss me at Eaton...
Hmm, I did my grocery shopping today, as it was the only day I could do it on. If I didn't work full time outside the home and wasn't the breadwinner in the family, no doubt I would feel differently as my schedule would allow me to do all my shopping and errands on a weekday.
While I enjoy...
Ever notice how actors that bow out of the shows that made them famous, never really amount to much? It's like they're lured away by promises that the fans that love them will follow them wherever they go, never realizing that the fans are pissed that they abandoned them in their favorite show.
